In ill health, our bodies and spirits cry out.
The World Health Organization (yes, they do also put out sensible information - it’s a big company) has reiterated how mental well-being directly impacts our physical health.
They advocate for a holistic approach—melding mind, body, and spirit for healing.
Others advocate quarantining you and giving you drugs.
As I mentioned, they are a big company with lots of departments and lots of people offering different messages. : )
The thing is, whether it be some fancy pants, corporate sponsored organization with “Health” or “American” in the name, your local physician, therapist or personal fitness trainer - none of them have the perfect answer for you.
None of them.
No one else can make you whole, including a romantic partner.
No one can take away your old trauma or current troubles.
Even suicide takes nothing away but the vessel through which you were experiencing those issues.
You are an everlasting being. What you avoid here, you will likely face again at some point.
That’s part of the reason that you are here.
What some call “brokenness” I call fake news.
You can’t be broken.
You are trillions of light beams that can form and reform in an instant.
You can feel shitty, but a whole lot of the time that’s because you were never shown a way to deal with the stuff you’ve faced.
You were put on an NFL field at game time without the playbook, rulebook, or even a uniform.
You got ran over.
It can be tough for anyone…however… it’s also a massive opportunity.
Khalil Gibran said, “Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls.”
With specific tools and guidance even this challenge can be a path to profound growth.
What you feel ashamed or worried about can become your badge of courage.
If you are reading this right now, you might also be here to use that “brokeness” to empower other people to feel strong and whole.
It starts with you. Your Jedi training has already begun.
